Made this for my partner in Crochet List’s Bookmark exchange. I used a star motif from a Japanese crochet book that has diagrams, which, thankfully, are universal. I think it turned out a little large for a bookmark, but hey. It’ll work.
- ½ package of whole wheat pasta of your choice
- 1 lb of Italian pork sausage
- 2 16 ounce cans of Italian diced tomatoes
- 8 oz can of tomato sauce
- 1 block of cream cheese
- 1 tbls oregano
- 1 tsp pepper
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Boil pasta al dente. Cut cream cheese into chunks, & mix with tomatoes, tomato sauce, and spices. Fry and drain pork sausage. Mix pasta, sauce, and sausage, pouring into a casserole. Top with mozzarella. Bake till the cheese is melted.
