Made this for my partner in Crochet List’s Bookmark exchange. I used a star motif from a Japanese crochet book that has diagrams, which, thankfully, are universal. I think it turned out a little large for a bookmark, but hey. It’ll work.
I made this star bookmark for the last round of Crochet List’s Secret Pal Exchange. I used a star looking motif I learned years and years ago and some silvery thread I had in my stash. It’s super easy to make and works up fast! The motif is to sc, ch3, sc in a ring, sc, ch3, sc, ch6 for the next round, and then sc, 5dc, ch3, 5dc (in the ch 6 loop), sc around, finish off. Connect at the appropriate corners. This motif makes a super lacy afghan with WW yarn or a gorgeous shawl or table cloth in thread. Super pretty!
I made this for my secret pal in the last round of Crochet List’s Secret Pal Exchange. I made a pouch purse by chaining the desired length, and then doing hdc in each loop on one side, with three in each end, and hdc along the opposite side. I then built up spiral style till I had the depth I desired. The star is from a pattern I found online. I also lined the purse with cotton.
Finished my potholder for the CL potholder swap last night.
This one was fun! I made the pattern up, mostly, based on a trivet pattern from Crochet with Bits and Pieces. I’ve wanted to come up with a star shaped potholder pattern, and this one is okay. I think I’ll monkey around with the pattern a bit more to see if I can’t improve on this one. It is a wee bit on the small side, I think, but okay.
